I thought the Kennedy/Hardy match was great. This is a rivalry I can see going places.

Ha. Imagine that, each of the Hardy Boyz are involved in their respective brand's best rivalry. Whodathunkit?

As for Jericho, the general feeling is he'll be making his return at Cyber Sunday. The creative team thought No Mercy was just too soon. I, for one, didn't think so, but at least now they have a bit more time to build on it.

And HBK's return was pretty sweet, too. I just wish he'd pipe down on the whole "God" thing. It's kinda corny.

I hope they reunite DX again now with HHH and HBK back on Raw, but I doubt it

That would be nice Irish. I'm glad HBK showed up when he did so we didn't have to see the roster bow down and kiss Orton's ass.

Why?

So you can have an excuse to buy a DX T-shirt?

I hate DX. The NWO was much better.

I don't hate DX, but that DX reunion last year was....well, the first week was good nostalgic fun, but afterwards it was sorta pointless.

Plus, they duked out against the Spirit Squad?

I wouldn't call them up on the caliber of say The Ministry or the Nation of Domination...

I have been waiting for another stable like The Ministry to come along, I thought that was one of the highpoints of the WWE. As far as a DX Reunion...did anyone else catch HBK going to do the DX chop and then caught himself and didn't really do it? They won't bring DX back..they are WAY TOO OLD and it caused HHH to lose character imo.

The last stable they had that I can remember before this latest version of DX was Evolution. I wasn't a big fan....

I would dig a good stable in the WWE again.

Better yet, a stable that had members in RAW/SD!/ECW...that way, makes people have a reason to watch all three shows every week.

Looks like Booker T and Sharmell have been released (no surprise). Booker has made it clear that while he enjoys wrestling, its no longer a priority. After his suspension last month, he made up his mind to hang up his boots.

It sucks. I like Booker T, and was one of the few who dug the whole King Booker gimmick. I won't miss Sharmell, though.

WWE also released Daivari. And no one cares.

I felt that Evolution was not a true stable, it was a basic group of friends with Ric Flair, the hardened veteran, HHH the star and 2 new comers who they were supposed to raise to main event status by being with the 2 of them.

I mean a true stable like The Corporation or the Ministry where you had a few main eventers, mid carders and lower guys.

True. I miss The Corporation. I felt that was a short-lived stable.

Also, did you guys hear about ECW and Smackdown now basically merging because ECW sucks so much and has become so stale due to their lack of roster depth?

But what a stable it was for the time being...even though EVERYONE knew McMahon was in charge of the Ministry..

That whole era was great though, I still remember JR about Austin "He didn't do it out of the love of McMahon he did it because it was the right thing to do" when Austin saved Stephanie. It had you tuning in every week to see who would turn on who. I would come home from school and do my homework right away so I could sit down and watch Raw...now I watch MNF and flip back to Raw if I remember.

I didn't hear that..do you mean Merging shows and getting rid of ECW or just having SD and ECW superstars on both shows?

CM Punk is being wasted on ECW.

More like WWE is now practically making ECW and SMACKDOWN! be part of the same booking scheme, the same titles, etc., to save its ECW contract with Sci-Fi Network.

And yes, CM Punk is being wasted. Watching his ROH work, the fucker is already main event material.

Its more like the other hacks on ECW need him to be relevant...like John "Roid Up" Morrison.

From what I understand (and I may be wrong), but it seems as if the WWE is consolidating the SD and ECW rosters, and either:

A) Doing what RRA said.

or

B) Phasing out the ECW brand completely.

I think the latter would be better. Nevermind the fact that the new ECW sucks. But 3 brands is far too much for the fans to keep up with. People don't watch ECW just because it sucks. People don't watch it because they forget. 3 WWE wrestling shows a week is asking a lot of the fans.

The original brand extension was enough, IMO.

What surprises me is the most entertaining match of the ENTIRE night was the Diva's Costume battle royal. I'm one of those people who change the channel during the divas matches, but this one was actually entertaining.

Or maybe that just says something about the quality of the rest of the show.

ECW is a wreck and Smackdown is a C show at best.

Warning, Spoiler:
Scott Hall is suppose to be on TNA TV next week and Booker T might be showing up there soon. They're already my second favorite wrestling show on TV behind only Monday Night Raw. If they get RVD and Sabu they'll be in some great shape

WWE.com -- Fabulous Moolah passes away

WWE is saddened by the passing of Lillian Ellison, who was known to sports-entertainment fans as Hall of Famer Fabulous Moolah. She passed away last night in Columbia, S.C.

In the world of women’s wrestling, there will always be one irrefutable legend that stands head and shoulders above the rest: The Fabulous Moolah. She was the longest reigning champion in the history of her chosen sport, or any sport for that matter. And with more than 50 years in the business to her credit, she established a legacy that will never be forgotten, making her name synonymous with female wrestling.

Rest in peace. \:\(

Before last night I cannot remember the last time that I watched Wrestling. There was nothing on TV and I was channel surfing and came across a match with a guy named Ray Mysterio.

I was impressed. The athleticism that was shown by this guy was just fantastic. What an athlete! The flips, twist, spins, timed jumps and hits by this guy were just amazing.

While wrestling is really just a scripted show, you cannot deny that some of these guys are just unbelievably talented athletes!

I haven't enjoyed watching a wrestler, as I did Mysterio last night, since watching the Hulk Hogans and the Macho Mans of the early 80's.

DC, you bore witness to arguably the greatest high-flying wrestler in pro-wrestling history. Rey Mysterio is a phenomenon, in every sense of the word.

If you think what you saw this past Friday was incredible, you should really take a look at some of his older matches. One match in particular that comes to mind is an old WCW match back in October of 1997, with the late (and oh so great) Eddie Guerrero. It was a "mask vs. title" match. Guerrero was the WCW Cruiserweight champion. If Rey-Rey couldn't beat him, he'd be forced to lose the mask. After an intense (and absolutely phenomenal) match, Rey came out the winner.

That match at Halloween Havoc is considered one of the greatest matches of all time. Some of the things Eddie and Rey pulled off in that match were incredible, and had never been seen in American wrestling before.

You should definitely check out some of Rey's older stuff. Some other wrestlers I would suggest for you to check out are the formerly mentioned Eddie Guerrero, Chris Jericho, Chris Benoit (yes, the guy who ended up killing his family and himself), Dean Malenko, Lance Storm, and The Hardy Boyz.

Oh, and for your enjoyment, I found the YouTube video to that Halloween Havoc match I told you about above. Prepare to be amazed.

WCW's Halloween Havoc '97; Mask vs. Cruiserweight Title Match; Eddie Guerrero (c) vs. Rey Mysterio, Jr.

Part 1
Part 2

(note: Throught Mysterio's WCW career, he was known as Rey Mysterio, Jr. He only became known as "Rey Mysterio" was he joined the WWE.)

From what I witnessed the other night, perhaps ONE of the best. But in theIR early days these guys were probably the best at high flying:

The Von Erichs were masterful when it came to high flying acts, twists, flips and turns. But I must admit that this Mysterio guy may be right up there with them.
