If my girlfriend could leave me for any man in the world it would be one of these three. Are these common men that women love? Who would you ladies choose? Sam Elliot, Antonio Banderas or John Travolta?

And since this is a sports thread and my question has nothing to do with sports, I'll just say that all three of those guys are "guys" so they probably love sports.

JT without a doubt. First of all, he's at least part Sicilian. Second of all, I've had a crush on him since I was about 13!

My sister-in-law loves Sam Elliott, from when he played Chance on some TV cowboy show. My brother used to put on my nephew's toy holster and cowboy hat and announce, C'mon, honey! It's Chance!! But she felt that there was something lacking.

Edited to Add: But I would have to put Kurt Russell on my List, although he is getting a little old. And to make it fit into the Sports genre, I'll top my list with Derek Jeter. \:D

I watched Saturday Night Fever last night on VH1. He is as hot now as he was back then. I wish Staying Alive would come on tv seeing him in those dancing tights.

I'll respect football, but I certainly don't love it like I love baseball. So I'll join you at the corner, SB. And we can both wallow in self-pity throughout the horrible months without our boys.

By the way, SB, I realized that "Flickr" - a photo sharing site - is a great way to find nice shots of fantasy interests. So, for you...

Gina, you are too sweet!! Nice pics! How are your classes going?? Are you adjusting to dorm life. One of my daughter's friends already transferred out of the college he was going to and into the local community college. He was totally miserable.

I don't want to repeat myself, but check out my post in the Yankees thread! I got John Flaherty's autograph for my daughter today!! What an unbelievably nice guy he is.

SB, things are going quite well! I like the schedule a lot more, the classes are interesting, and my teachers are great. Well, all but one - my math teacher...he has trouble explaining stuff. But luckily, a lot of what we're learning is what I learned in Stats last year...I'm just wishing I had my high school teacher again because he was so much better.

Dorm life is getting better as time goes by. It was difficult to adjust to, at first, but now I'm really enjoying it. The only thing I fight about with my roommate (a friend from HS) is the temperature in the room...we have battles with the thermostat.

I went and read your post about John Flaherty - that is great!!! He sounds extremely nice...it's wonderful to hear stories like that about ballplayers.

Gi, I'm so glad that you're enjoying college life. One of my daughter's friends came home for Rosh Hashanah and told her that he hates it - he can't stand the non-stop noise in the dorm. He said that he rarely gets to sleep before 4 a.m. and he has early classes.

I'm sure that you'll do fine with your classes. My Stats professor in college was named Dr. Putz - I swear!! Every time I even LOOKED at him, I would start laughing.

Mr. Flaherty was a very nice and gentle man. It was a pleasure to meet him. We have since framed his autograph.

Looks like my boys will be making the postseason. Keep your fingers crossed - unless you want to give them the JG Anti-Jinx.

Well, Cleveland just wiped the field with us in that inning. It's awful. They scored 5 runs in one inning!

October 16, 2007 -- IF Bronx Bomber Derek Jeter wants to keep his sex life a secret, he should learn to tie up any post-tryst loose ends.

Our spy in the lobby of the Shore Club in Miami early Sunday morning spotted "two scantily clad women screaming at the front desk because they had spent the night at Jeter's penthouse and were then charged for parking."

"The girls were wearing what looked like the same clothes they wore the night before - a tight cocktail dress and a mini-skirt. They were making a huge scene because they were asked to pay for parking.

"Obviously, they'd spent the night there," giggled the onlooker, who noted that one of the overnight guests was screaming into the phone, "After last night, he'd better [bleep]ing take care of it!"

After a bit of insistence, "they eventually left happy. I assume he paid for their parking after all," said our snitch.

Tongues in Miami are wagging over Jeter's stint in Miami, where he was spotted Friday night dining at Nobu, then partying it up with Timbaland at Skybar. "They took over the table in the back and drank Grey Goose all night," said a fellow reveler. "Five girls were dancing around him, but he didn't seem interested."

Jeter was spotted acting equally detached later that night at Set, where he was "surrounded by throngs of women five rows deep. He was hanging with a guy friend, though, and didn't seem to take much interest in the hordes of ladies."

Evidently, the Yankee captain likes to keep his conquests behind closed doors, because there were no Jeter sightings Saturday night.

"I heard he was staying in the penthouse at the Shore Club," said one Miami source. "He checked in solo Friday, but nobody saw him Saturday night . . . and everyone down here talks when big names come to town. Maybe he was holed up in his suite all night?"

Jeter is notorious for his off-field plays - he's been linked to the likes of Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel, Jordana Brewster, Mariah CareyScarlett Johansson, Vanessa Minnillo and Gabrielle Union. Shore Club reps had "no comment," and a Yankee rep did not return calls.

How about a little less questions and a lot more shut the hell up - Brian Griffin
