I once got a meatball/chicken/veal parm pie... awesome.
What about a White Pie (usually mozzarella, ricotta and broccoli (or sliced tomato) -- no tomato sauce? (I'd add garlic to that one) Awesome!
I did try a Shrimp Scampi pizza from one of the good places around here, but that was just nasty - but not because of the ingredients, but how it came out ...but I'd try it again somewhere else!
Granted, standard pizza is the best -- but "gourmet" pizzas are a good alternative, too! Taste great, and more filling
I studied Italian for 2 semesters. Not once was a "C" pronounced as a "G", and never was a trailing "I" ignored! And I'm from Jersey! lol
