It's absolutely heaven when she makes a home cooked meal. She doesn't do it enough. When we go out to eat I have to look for something she can't make, cause it just wouldn't be as good...

It's great that your finance' is such a good cook. That's something that everyone will need to do some time or another. And, to enjoy cooking is an added bonus for everyone.
It sounds like she's making Swiss Steak for which I use cubed steak flour it, salt/pepper and topped with onions.
