Damnation**** This Hungarian movie, directed by Bela Tarr, is a masterpiece. Definitely now in my top favorites. Filmed in BW, this is a great depiction of hopelessness and helplessness. The main character is damned either way, by choosing or rejecting life and insanity being the only way to escape the reality of unrequited love. Great music and camera work. Highly recommended.
