Is Superbad one of the 250 best films of all time? No. Is it simply a "dick joke" movie? Absolutely not. There is plenty of whit and cleverness behind it, and anyone who has experienced public high school--actually, anyone who doesn't share a heart with Satan and has an ounce of humor in their body--can enjoy it. Most American comedies are absolute shit, and throw around dumb fart jokes and follow it up with little intelligence. But immaturity isn't necessarily a bad thing--immaturity can be a great thing if accompanied by clever satire and intelligence... And Superbad had all of those things.

But then again, is The Godfather one of the five best films of all time? Probably not. It may be one of your favorite films of all time, but on a massive grading scale of every film ever made, it's lucky to be in the top 20.
