"We have revisited 'The Song Remains The Same'," says Jimmy Page, "and can now offer the complete set as played at Madison Square Garden. This differs substantially from the original soundtrack released in 1976, and highlights the technical prowess of Kevin Shirley, who worked with us on 'How The West Was Won'. When it comes to 'The Song Remains The Same', the expansion of the DVD and soundtrack are as good as it gets on the LED ZEPPELIN wish list."
"The Song Remains The Same" track listing:
Disc One:
01. Rock And Roll 02. Celebration Day 03. Black Dog (including Bring It On Home)* 04. Over The Hills* 05. Misty Mountain Hop* 06. Since I've Been Loving You* 07. No Quarter 08. The Song Remains The Same 09. Rain Song 10. The Ocean*
Disc Two:
01. Dazed And Confused 02. Stairway To Heaven 03. Moby Dick 04. Heartbreaker* 05. Whole Lotta Love
As much as I like Led Zeppelin, I really have only one of their albums. This sounds good though.
Btw, I wish I could have finished hearing an interview with Robert Plant yesterday on Public Radio. The announcer said that we would finally find out what "if there's a bustle in your hedgerow" means. I had to go in to work and couldn't stay for the answer.

Not attempting to reply to my own last post, BUTT--
I have purchased and own the LED ZEPPELIN live 2-DVD set which contains a portion, but not NEARLY all, of the final U.K. concerts (there were two) at The Knebworth Festival, 1979...
But I NEED so very badly the ENTIRE Knebworth shows on DVD...
Some of my VERY favorite songs (i.e. "Ten Years Gone") were filmed and recorded but did not make the "final cut" for the DVD-release...
I KNOW that there are professionally-shot "bootleg" copies of BOTH shows in their entirety out there...
But I cannot FIND meself a copy ANYWHERE... And believe me, I HAVE searched and searched...
Little help???
Anyone???
Ask any of the old-timers here-- I ALWAYS re-pay any favor granted, and THEN some...
So yeah...
Anybody out there with Knebworth footage--
Help a brotha out-- PLEASE!!!

All of the tracks on HOW THE WEST WAS WON were recorded at the L.A. Forum or Long Beach Arena, in CA on the 1972 U.S. tour...
The footage from THE SONG REMAINS THE SAME was all filmed and recorded over a 3-night-stand at Madison Square Garden NYC on the 1973 U.S. tour...
Maybe we're talking two different things - the cd vs. the dvd. The DVD covers multiple periods. There are versions of "Heartbreaker," "Black Dog," and "Since I've Been Loving You." This Borders link gives more info on disc #2 from "How the West Was Won DVD," which includes stuff from the cutting floor of TSRTS.

I love the balls-to-the-wall version of "Rock & Roll" from this performance, along with the medley of blues songs in the middle of "Whole Lotta Love."
No Quarter should be VERY interesting to hear as well. I'm also excited about Celebration Day. I never thought of it as one of their signature hits, but they must have thought highly of it to perform it in concert. I suspect that it makes for an INSANE live performance.
