Let me tell you, I am shocked at the price of rooms in these places. We were looking to get away for a few days when my daughter finishes her job next month. We thought it might be nice to take the kids to Cooperstown for a few days. The little motels and cottages on the lake were $250 a night, and the nicer inns were close to $350 a night. I didn't even try to get a price for the Otesaga. These places were old, and you know that the ones on the lake would probably smell like mold and mildew.

Does everyone in the world have WAY more money than I do? Because they know that you're saving on airfare, these places charge a fortune, and people pay it.
