I know that Corleone was filmed in another city. What city was it?

I actually have put aside a little money for Italy/Sicily trip, but am still concerned about traveling abroad during this season of terror. \:\(

I have relatives still in Trapani and a distance cousin named Vincenzo, whom I met a few years ago when he came to the US. He lives in Sicily (at least use to) and speaks English very well. He'd be my "connection" as far as the language barrier goes and I'm sure would know Sicily very well. \:\) He contacts my parents from time to time and I am waiting to get an e-mail address for him.
