May your first child be a masculine child. OK, I felt obligated to say that because this is a Godfather board, but ya know what? Even if its not it ain't important... just let it be healthy! Congratulations to you and your fiancee.

Good for you. Congratulations.

Longneck, When I was first preparing to be a father, I too was hoping for a boy. When the big day arrived, I was naturally excited, and after nearly a full day of labor for my wife, I witnessed the entire birth before the nurses and doctor took the baby to a treatment table in the room. I went to my wife and she immediately asked me if it was a boy or girl. I had to go back to the table to see. Honestly, when my son was born, the gender never crossed my mind. Maybe I shouldn't use "cross" and "gender" in the same sentence. Anyway, I'm lucky and blessed tohave a daughter and two sons. A little girl will melt your heart like you never imagined.

Longneck, I had to go back to the table to see. Honestly, when my son was born, Somehow I think if we asked your son that today he would want you to say that you knew IMMEDIATELY that the baby was a boy lol That has crossed my mind. Funny thing about my second son, DMC, is that we were debating whether to find out the gender beforehand. We happened to view an early ultrasound photo, expecting only to see the general shape of a body, but lo and behold, there was no doubt about it;he was male. The nurses even joked that he'll have no problems getting dates. I could only say, "This can't be MY son."

As a father of two little ones, let me say that the joy and love you will feel for the new baby is something that just cannot be expressed with words. Tell the fiancee to make sure the birth doesn't interrupt any key sporting events or fantasy drafts! I assume by your avatar that, boy or girl, the baby's name will be either Dungy or Peyton. Congrats! Her birthday was on super bowl Sunday! How dare she? The baby is due in March so football season will be over, good timing... Thanks everyone...I am very excited. I asked her "Does it feel like a boy?" and she rolled her eyes at me. Yes, boy or girl, they will have a Colts jersey! They will be so spoiled, probably even moreso if it's a girl.
