When I point out a mistake, I hear "Can't you just enjoy the movie?" Yes, I AM enjoying the movie, flaws and all. Whatever ends up on the screen is part of the experience. I think those people are in the very small minority. First of all they just "don't get it". Its not about finding fault with a film. In order to find a "goof", one has to pay close attention to the film. It is my contention that most people enjoy seeing these occasional "goofs" and feeling like an insider, witness the popularity of the "Making of such and such" shows, whereby the film studios, sort of give away their "secrets" by taking people behind the scenes.
I love my Chrysler and tuna fish sandwiches.

The only flaws that really bug me are anachronisms in period pieces. There's no excuse for those. For instance, in GLADIATOR, one of the Romans was wearing Reeboks.  How about the Tarzan movie where one of the natives was wearing a watch?  I personally don't really look for "goofs", but I do notice the cars and their years in period films, such as the '65 Chevy being used in 1963 in "Goodfellas". Speaking of cars being used in films, Turnbull has made a post in the past detailing most of the cars used in the Godfather films and how accurate they were, even to the point of saying what type of brand would have been used by who.  What I found interesting is that Michael didn't always choose the typical "Black Cadillac" as his car of choice. Other then the scene in hotel room with Kay, where they showed a Black Cadillac parked outside the Hotel Washington,  and his return when he went to meet Kay  It appears that once Mike took over sole proprietorship of the family, he didn't use Cadillacs anymore. Mike was shown, first in the Packard limo,   *Packard can be seen behind the Buick. I believe that Buick's were also favored by mob types on low end of the ladder. then in Tahoe in the Imperial Ghia.   Also I believe Mike arrived in Las Vegas in a Chrysler limo

The most obvious blooper is in Part II just before Michael ducks to avoid the bullets.
Kay is seen in the mirror on the nightstand and then magically disappears a split second before Michael hits the deck.

Any old director could have gotten any old Cads for a "gangster" movie of the Fifties. Trust FFC, the fanatic about details, to think it through and come up with that '54 Packard Patrician (prior to Michael Francis Rizzi's baptism); the '54 Imperial limo (when Michael visits Fredo and Moe Green); and that absolute classic '58 Crown Imperial Ghia limo that takes Michael back to Tahoe after Havana. One of only about a dozen built; and, at $13k, the most expensive American car--even more than the Eldo Brougham. I would happily have had the one you like: the '58 Chrysler New Yorker that your namesake drove ahead of Michael's (probably Avis rental) '58 Ford Custom 300 when he called on Roth in Miami. But my favorite authentic car is the '57 Mercury Montclair that drives Michael in Havana: original two-tone Sea Green and Cream paint, slightly bent grill, loud tappets, tinny European horn-- exactly what a Hispanic chauffeur of that era would have used to drive a rich gringo. BTW: Did you check out the '47 Ford Woodie wagon in the scene where Michael woos Kay in New Hampshire? And the '54 DeSoto Firedome ahead of (or behind) the Buick you posted?
