It helps clear the bad blood.

This was NOTHING like the blackout in 2003. That affected the entire northeastern U.S. ... this was very localized.

I'm waiting for the thunderstorms to hit here now.... there's LOTS of thunder but I can't see any lightning yet. This is the same storm line that MAY HAVE caused the blackout.

That's one thing I really miss....big ol' thunderstorms (with no damages of course). We hardly ever have thunder storms. It rains and sometimes thunders, but the thunder/lightning isn't that often. I like listening to the storms. \:\)

I love thunderstorms too, TIS. There's something very exciting about them.

Maybe because you can order sugar on the side.

EDIT: TOP OF THE PAGE... that makes it extra sweet ;\)

Sweet tea???? There is such a thing? I usually add sugar if I want to sweeten the tea. \:\) Unless of course you're talking about the packaged teas you buy in the grocery store that come lemon flavored and/or sweetened.

I like ice tea but hardly ever put sugar in it. Like my coffee, I only drink it black. On a hot summer day, ice tea is a great thirst quencher. \:\)

Tell me if this has happened to anyone else before. I woke up this morning and my right eye was completely swollen shut. The outside corner of my eyelid was swollen so bad it hurt, and the inside corner by my nose/eyebrow was swollen down over that so that I couldn't see a thing unless I tilted my head really far back. Then I could only see a blur.

I have no idea what happened. Maybe it was a pimple gone crazy, or a bug bite, or maybe I was beat up during the night without realizing it . The swelling went down almost completely after three hours. Very strange.

I wish we'd get a thunderstorm here. They keep promising isolated thunderstorms, but so far we've been duped. It still feels like it's about 90 degrees at 9:30pm.

I think with the new era of people chosing sugar alternatives restaurants want to give people the option of sweetening it to their level. People who don't like it awefully sweet would never drink their tea. Now they get more customers this way.

The weather here has been basically the same as any other summer day in the Bay Area. Roughly 80 degrees, a slight breeze. zzzzz... I wish we got thunder storms, they are so rare here.

A spider bite perhaps? Otherwise, I'd pursue SC's line of inquiry re: with whom you were sleeping. \:\)

Blibble, I wonder if you slept with your arm against your eyelid? Perhaps it was pressed against the eye throughout the night, and the pressure caused it to get swollen?

My dad did that, and I think his vision was messed up for a while - either very blurry or dark. I can't remember if it was swollen, but I think he'd said that he had slept with his arm against his eye.

For sweet iced tea, select a "southern brew." Turkey Hill Iced Teas hit the mark for me. I don't know if the brand is sold in Ohio. I would guess that Beth has seen it in Maryland, and I know it's available in Southern New Jersey and probably NY.

I'm addicted to Turkey Hill Diet Green Iced Tea. It's indescribably delicious and refreshing.

By the way, congratulations to your son on the raise. What does he do?

Thats now my favorite pre-made tea (and yes, it is sold in New York). Any decent restaurant makes its own iced tea and assuming its made well that'd be my preference. Add a little sugar, a wedge of lemon and MMMMMMMMMMMM.... (its ALMOST as good as Dewar's & water). \:\)

San Francisco never really gets hot and does get a lot of fog. But the rest of the area can get in the 90's, occasionally hotter, but it's rare. Very mild temperatures all year, it's nice. But a sudden thunderstorm would be fun every once in a while. We just don't have enough earthquakes to keep things exciting around here.

As for iced tea, I like mine unsweetened. And restaurants do usually offer a choice of sweetened or unsweetened. At least they do around here.

We had a pretty heavy downpour and some serious thunder and lightning last night. I even lost internet access, and that SUCKS.

We're supposed to get some thunderstorms tonight, but who knows. These guys have been blowing hot air for a couple days now. And frankly, I think that just stinks.

You never do.

Why can't teenagers wake up?? Please tell me. My daughter has to leave for work at 10 of 8. I've called her four times already, and can't get her to move. She answers me that she's up, and then puts her head down on her pillow again. We've tried alarms, and she just sleeps through them and then they wake up everyone else in the house.

When you find a solution let me know. I need to try something on myself. I've barely managed about 4 hours of sleep a night these past few days. Something's keeping me up at night.
