The abortion scene played fine on my television - at least the visual part (I had the volume turned way down).

I did notice a little problem in the first film when Hagen first meets Woltz at the studio. There was a few seconds of what I can only describe as a mosaic-like image breakdown, and there may have been a couple of other times where the image seemed to "freeze-frame" for a fraction of a second. Again, this was in the first film. Since I was taping, I really didn't pay absolute attention to every second of both films. I guess I'll find out anything additional when I sit down and actually watch the tape, start to finish.

Another thing I observed: my old tape from HBO had several minutes of intermission music midway through GFII. The film played straight through without a break on TCM.

"For me, there's only my wife..."

"Sure I cook with wine - sometimes I even add it to the food!"

"When life itself seems lunatic, who knows where madness lies?"

"It was a grass harp... And we listened."

"Do any human beings ever realize life while they live it? Every, every minute?"

"No. Saints and poets, maybe... they do some."
