Mike was in WWII he fought for his country and mostly agasint the japs but the war was about Hitler and his master plan to get rid of all the jews, gays, gypsys, mentaly disabled people(call them retards and I'll shove it up your ass). So in a way Mike was fighting for the jews so i doubt he had any prejudice towards them.
Just because someone served in WWII hardly means they weren't anti-Semitic (or homophobic, or anti-gypsy, etc.). The military didn't exactly recruit by saying, "Save the Jews." It was framed as a fight to defend freedom and our way of life. Sound familiar?
Also, despite the urging of a very popular FDR, the majority of the American public was strongly OPPOSED to fighting Hitler. It took the attack on Pearl Harbor to get America (and Michael) involved.
