I must be covered by the same stuff. I'm the only one in the house that gets mosquito bites just walking from my car to the house. I'm guessing I'll get West Nile Virus within the next five years.

Blibble you are too optimistic. I am predicting that you will mutate into a half-human half-insect species in the next two months.

I hope so! I could use the money that I'd make from my reality show "The Manskeeto".

Manskeeto? Is that like the porn star equivalent to Magneto in a pornographic version of X-Men?

If you are born on February 29th, when should you celebrate your birthday the three years there isn't a 29th? February 28th or March 1st? When exactly is it that you are born? The day after the 28th? Or the day before March 1st?

Don't worry about the dates, celebrate your birthday after each revolution of earth around sun, with all the ugly fractional number of seconds.

My sister Angel's birthday is actually leap year. She celebrates the day after the 28th, which on non leap years is March 1. She says since she only has a birthday every 4 years she's a lot more youthful then she really is. \:\)

Funny thing. While I was not born in a leap year, my birthday accourding to Persian calendar can fall on Feb. 28, Feb 29 or March 1st, depending which year we are talking about. It is still quite confusing to me. For a long time I thought I was born on Feb 28, but then I realized it had been actually March 1st, after seeing the actual calendar of that year.

My whole foundation of existance started shaking at that moment.

An old friend of mine was born on Feb 29. He celebrated on the 28th, to keep the "February" part, which made total sense to me. It wouldn't feel right changing a month for one year in four.

Well, I don't feel like changing my foreign documents to reflect the actual date, I somehow prefer February for some unknown reason. Maybe the fact that it was so hard for me to pronounce it and I kept repeating it over and over again until it felt right.

Not that it even matters. Here, we deal with our own calendar and it was not until I was 20 something that I started getting familiar with Gregorian calendar. I'd be very unlikely to have to use that calendar again, so some years it will be in February and some will be in March according to some calendar we rarely use. Still, I can't deny it being quite odd.

Afs I don't know what calendar you have there, but we have something like that as well. It is a lunar calendar and the birthdays are based on a "star" (I guess they are constellations rather, I don't know but we call them stars). There are 27 "stars" and each year the birthday falls on a completely different date, not just a day here or there. It is all very confusing. My father studied astronomy and he is very patient in explaining me the Indian system of stars, lunar cycles, solar cycles etc a million times. I understand it well when he explains, but cannot remember a thing afterwards \:\( It is very interesting, but complex at the same time. The western calendar is all I can handle I guess. BTW, not everyone followed lunar cycles traditionally in India, I think the majority followed a solar calendar, but not the western one.

Had a doctor's appointment this morning. I parked no more than 100 feet from the doctor's building but was COMPLETELY soaked by the time I got inside.... it was raining as hard as I've ever seen.

On the bright side - all the birdshit was washed off my car.

My mom's scared to death of the carwash, so she's always happy when it rains and washes all the dust and poop off her car.

The paint on my car is peeling off.... I'm afraid to take it into a car wash.... it may come out a different color!

My poor mother is claustrophobic and tends to try to drive through the car wash, especially when the brushes come down. Every now and then, one of us will take it for her. My daughter just got her permit, and my mom can't wait until she can go to the carwash for her!

I think cars got a washing enough from the downpour of yesterday. It's since stopped, but boy did we need the rain. I don't think horses wanted to graze on our grass anymore thinking it's hay.

Wow, I had never heard of this kind of calendar before. The simplest way to introduce ours is to say the zodiac months are based on this calendar. For more information check out here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iranian_calendar

This calendar has 5 leap years every 33 years observed on March 20th, which explains the confusion between the dates, as the other calendar has one leap year simply every four years. But this calendar is the most accurate when the seasonal swings are concerned.

I love car washes. There is one near my house that is kind of expensive ($6.5 for external wash I guess), but they wipe the windows dry etc, while I am sitting inside the car all along. I go there once every few months. i also got a small vacuum cleaner from wallmart that plugs into the cigarette lighter port. Very handy. Still my car tends to look messy with brochures and paper napkins strewn around.

I can't get laid cause everyone is dead
