The Hulk vs. Tim Roth

May 9, 2007 - Actor Tim Roth, who rose to cult stardom as "Mr. Orange" in Quentin Tarantino's Reservoir Dogs, is going green for Marvel and Universal's forthcoming The Incredible Hulk.

Roth will play the bad guy, Emile Blonsky/Abomination, in the movie, the actor's reps told The Hollywood Reporter today. Blonsky is a vicious mercenary who is exposed to gamma rays and becomes even stronger than the Hulk.

Incredible Hulk screenwriter Zak Penn recently told the press that the villain would not actually be called Abomination in the film.

"The villain will not be called the Abomination out loud in the film because it's a silly, silly name," says Penn. "It just is; it's so hard to work in. 'Hey, what should we call that guy?' 'He's an abomination!'"

Roth, who next stars in Francis Ford Coppola's Youth Without Youth, joins Edward Norton as Bruce Banner/The Hulk and Liv Tyler as Betty Ross in the comic book flick. Louis Leterrier (Transporter 2) is directing.

The new movie's story unfolds when the pursuit for The Hulk heats up, sending Bruce Banner on the run attempting to cure his condition before his pursuers capture him.

The Incredible Hulk will start shooting next month in Toronto for a June 13, 2008

My cat has figured out how to open the screen door. I was upstairs opening windows yesterday, and I looked out at the backyard and, there she was, strolling around the pool, stalking the robot that vacuums it. She is NOT an outdoor cat, but I guess she decided to make herself one.

In other pet news, my dog dug up a rabbit's nest and killed three of the babies. She at least had the decency to look a bit guilty. The last surviving bunny hid under the air conditioner unit until Mr. Babe rescued it. Of course, the kids begged to keep it, and we brought it in and made a nest for it. The kids named it Rocket in honor of Clemens' return to The Yankees. I ran to CVS to buy a baby bottle for it, but on my way home, Mr. Babe called me to say that Rocket had passed away, very probably of fright.

Although I was not thrilled about having ANOTHER pet, I admit that Rocket was one of the freaking cutest things I've ever seen. It actually fit in the palm of Mr. Babe's hand.

I'm going to continue to tell myself that Edward Norton is snorting blocks.

What in the hell was Norton thinking?

Rocket now sleeps with the fishes. I'm hoping this is not a foreshadowing of Clemens' performance!

What was wrong with Eric Bana? Ed Norton seems like way too good of an actor to be playing the Hulk. Eric Bana was just bland enough and I thought he pulled off that quivering extremely-constipated look as he turns into the Hulk just fine.

Bruce Banner has a lot of room for emotional complexity, I think.

If anything, I don't think Norton's up to it.

I've not seen it, but the reason why the Hulk might require a "bland" actor is a misconception stemming from the fact that Ang Lee's version was computer-generated. As George Lucas proved, CGI should be used to enhance or produce images, not emotions.

But more importantly than the "bland" emotions is the "constipated to the point of turning green" acting. You know, where Bruce Banner's eyes flicker green, then he grits his teeth and flexes his neck and goes "HHHRrrrrrrr!!!!!!" right before the massive green muscles tear through every bit of clothing (except for that magical purple stretchy underwear).

Norton will always be better than most actors, but this just seems like a low for him. Anyone can play Bruce Banner.

Why is it that when ppl have nothing to talk about they always bring up the weather?
It's probably the most "random" topic out there. I bet my life that even in this thread it's the most popular topic.

Now imagine this: if we lived in a world where the weather is constantly the same. Day after day after day....the same. And lets say the sun is always shining. So what will ppl say then to break the silence -- "what a sunny beautiful day, eh?" --that would seem pretty stupid to say considering the fact thay yesterday and the day before was exactly the same.

So my question is...if indeed we lived in a world where the weather is always the same...what then would be the most "random" topic? What is next in line as the silence-breakin topic?

P.S - shut the fuck up, Fame. You talk too much \:D
