Smoking is a bad habit of mine I don't encourage, but all a tax really does is just change options.

Some people I know don't smoke because of the cost, they just go for cheaper means of getting a buzz, usually Snuff/Snus, which is worse for you considering what the fiberglas does to your mouth.
