I didn't want to start another thread, but how did Vito make Captain? I'm watching a rerun in which Vito is a construction contractor related apparently to Richie. Remember, he's putting in a ramp for Beansie. Did I miss where he becomes a friend of ours?
Far be it for me to extoll the virtues of Wikipedia, but they have a decent breakdown of the characters that may be of interest. If nothing else, its fun reading. Here's a link to Vito's info (below) explaining that he was "made" in Season 2:
