I've nothing against the content of that banner, it's the banner itself that just makes things look ugly. Seeing it every time you scroll down the page, over and over again. It could be a banner about anything, and I'd still think it was ugly.

So, do you find Gene Hackman ugly, or avatars in general? Do they clutter up the boards, even though they have a set place on the layout of the page and cannot move from that (whereas banners intrude upon the content of actual posts).

And, out of curiosity, since you've got me wondering now, if you find Gene Hackman ugly, what kind of man is your type?
