LLC, that reminds me of all those girls I used to know in high school, who's range of "old movies" were in the late 1970s. Before that time? "Ancient."
And people wonder why I have a special soft spot of despisement for GREASE....
Yeah... To me, "old" is anything prior to 1960. I don't think I've ever refered to a film as "ancient" but if I did, I'd at least set the bar at 1920.
