I figured the Pentangeli drinking out of the hose scene was meant to show that Frank was a little rough around the edges. That he would have no qualms about drinking out of the water hose while the rest of the black tie affair sips on champagne cocktails. That's really interesting that FFC was also representing another facet of Italian culture w/ that scene.

BACK ON TOPIC....

I love the look on Mike's face after Lou does a 180 and turns the car back around toward the Bronx. It had appeared that they were going to Jersey and that the Corleone's plan had been thwarted. But alas.....Sollozo's moment of triumph with the great driving of Lou was nothing but another step into the Corleone trap. The whole car is thrown around during the turn and I think it is subtle but funny to watch Mike adjust his fedora in a coy yet cunning manner as he knows the trap IS in fact set!
