No one has mehe number mentioned it, but Neri as Michael's number one guard and protector was indirectly responsible for the security lapse which allowed someone to open the drapes.

I may be off with the timeline as I don't recall exactly when the deleted scene with Neri and Klingman took place, but perhaps Michael sent Neri to see Klingman on the night of the hit attempt, right after the party. I could be wrong, but I don't remember seeing Neri around when the hit attempt took place. Only Rocco. Anyone recall?

But, isn't it Neri who asks Mike if he wants Pentangeli to leave afterwhich Mike syas that it's getting late. So, Neri was there, right? Yes, he could have been sent to Vegas late, but I can't see that happening that late. Afterall, certain arrangements would have to be made with the right peole in Vegas and at the casino to make sure Neri's ouster of Klingman was not interfered with.
