I think it'd be too easy to kill Tony off.

I'm all for abrupt, high-and-dry finales, though, so long as the build up is excellent and suggestive and doesn't mislead.

So far, I've been thoroughly impressed by the way Chase goes about unfolding his narratives. But in that regard I seem to be in a minority.
