Pacino has been outstanding is so many roles since the Godfather, that I doubt he is specifically remembered as Michael Corleone only. I think he broke away from that early in his stellar performance in Dog Day Afternoon.

As for the booze and drugs, I guess in Hollywood it pretty much comes with the territory. I had a limited experience out there many years ago when I was helping a friend negotiate a screenplay. I was in Hollywood for about five days, and I can tell you that meetings starting at 9 in the morning had all the cocaine and bloody Mary's you wanted, and it went downhill from there. I saw every drug imaginable, and that was before the evening when the parties started. Frankly it was the most surreal and possibly the most unpleasant five days I have ever spent in my life.

"Io sono stanco, sono imbigliato, and I wan't everyone here to know, there ain't gonna be no trouble from me..Don Corleone..Cicc' a port!"

"I stood in the courtroom like a fool."

"I am Constanza: Lord of the idiots."
