My list is actually two lists:

1. Scrooge (AKA A Christmas Carol) 1951 - Alastair Sim
2. Scrooge 1935 - Sir Seymour Hicks
3. A Christmas Carol (animated) 1971 - Alastair Sim
4. A Christmas Carol 1938 - Reginald Owen
5. A Christmas Carol 1984 - George C. Scott

BTW, if you are a fan of different adaptations of this classic story, then you really must check out this link:

My other Top Five list:

1. A Charlie Brown Christmas
2. How the Grinch Stole Christmas (animated)
3. Miracle on 34th Street
4. It's a Wonderful Life
5. Bedtime for Sniffles (animated)

I must confess that I haven't yet seen some of the newer films, but I'm sure I will at some point this season - or next. But these are the ones which came to mind the quickest.

Signor V.

"For me, there's only my wife..."

"Sure I cook with wine - sometimes I even add it to the food!"

"When life itself seems lunatic, who knows where madness lies?"

"It was a grass harp... And we listened."

"Do any human beings ever realize life while they live it? Every, every minute?"

"No. Saints and poets, maybe... they do some."
