Why in GF 1 does Michael always have a hankercheif throughout the movie. There is nothing in the movie that suggests that he is sick.

Michael suffered sinus damage when McCluskey broke his jaw. The handkerchief was needed because his sinuses were always draining, and he had to mop them regularly.
