It is even more regrettable to see this has spilled over to the Godfather film threads when newcomers get ridiculed because they are asking questions that some long term members have already dealt with.
I agree, dt. I've said before that newcomers should be reminded to use the "search" function. But I don't object at all when they ask familiar questions because once in a while, someone comes up with a new twist on the old question--and someone else comes up with a viewpoint or explanation that we haven't seen before.
