Hi Angela Marie & Welcome!! I don't know where you can find an Italian transcript, but keep checking your post and I'm postive someone will clue you or lead you in the right direction. As a GF fan you certainly are in the right place, as we exchange many opinions and have a lot of laughs as well. Good luck and if I find a link for the Italian GF script I surely will post it. Btw, I love your name (One of my daughters has the same exact name - so I'm partial) TIS

Ciao Angela! Don't kill yourself trying to find TGF in italian, I can assure you that you are not missing much of the film because of that! Break it down for me(which film and scene) what you would like to have translated and I will be happy to help! The scenes are in Sicilian dialect, so even italians cannot understand it.

You know Sicilian?! Cool! Okay, well right now I would really just like the scene in Part II where Vito gets fired by his boss at the grocery. And Vito says something like, "I understand. You've been like a father to me...." yada yada yada. I'm wanting to use it as a quote for another fan board I'm on actually. But I woulnd't mind having the whole thing translated sometime. I've studied some Italian but not Sicilian, I didn't know there was THAT much difference? Anyway, I can never entirely get what they are saying....Any help would be great!! Thanks.... Angie

Ciao Angela!
Wow, I am so sorry cara! I could not find you in the postings, I forgot which message it was in. Abbandanzo and Vito are speaking some heavy Sicilian Dialect in that scene, and honestly if it weren't for the subtitles, i would not be able to decipher it! I understood,"u capisce" and " u scurdate". So it comes down to me failing you!
Stallionette! I am in love with Edie Falco, so your avatar is most exhilirating! Yes, I was born in Trapani Province (Pantelleria-one of the islands off of the African coast) but my father's family is from Bagheria in Palermo(and a part of GF3). My mother is Tunisian, which is a natural occurence in that area. We moved to NYC when I was two- I will be in Trapani for the summer. Two websites to recommend one is Pantelleria.it ; and the other is sicilyweb.com. They both have pictures. Trapani took a heavy beating in WW2, so it is a modernized city, Pantelleria is more Arab than anything else. I highly recommend a trip!

Why do you think FFC left out the subtitles in the Michael/Sollozzo/McCluskey restaurant scene? He used them in other places in the movie.
