Though I voted for Vito, I think that's what made Michael a great leader. Advisory from his father along with his ruthless personality. I think that's the way any Don should rule. There are too many people who are willing to stab you in the back. Some of the strongest men are the ones who do not hesitate when giving business orders. [/b]
Yes that's true, but it's also true Vito was able to obtain the same results without needing to show such a ruthless and coldhearted attitude.
I mean, remember what Micheal says to Don Tommasino in GFIII: "Why you were so loved and I was so feared"?
I think the same question could apply to his father. Vito was highly respected as a Don, but he was also loved by the people close to him. The famous charm to "make a no sounds as a yes", that I think it's fundamental for a leader - yes, even a crime leader. wink
Of course Michael was respected too, but mainly just out of fear.
