We can't really include YET, because we've only seen him as a Don for like 15 min. And I don't think he was the wrong choice, but the only one. Vito was legendary, I can't say enough on how he built his empire into the biggest family in the U.S. (Or at least in New York...) Michael was meticulous, very decisive with every move, and ultimatley led the family into it's biggest success. So I say Mike.
Hey, how's it going?

I think the best Don of all was Vito Corleone. Only Vito could be the best, because he created and made the organisation as big as it was. Michael was certainly a man who deserved most of all to succed the Don, but we should not forget who teached him to apply his houge skills, he succed from his father. Not everyone could rule the organisation, I think it was in their blood to be such perfect Dons. it's hard to decide if vito or Michael was a better Don, they were both perfect in their generations. Finally, I think its correct if i support the first Don and Creator of the Organisation and Michael. In terms of Vincent, I neither understand why he became Don. I perceived him as inapplicable for this hounor as his father. He didn't have the same "Don skills" as Vito and Michael Corleone. I think he just was the onlyone who wanted to be a Don and had a bit experience in criminality. The best end for Gf part 3 would be, that michaels son the organisation continued, but instead of that he became a musician.

The best Don was Vito......The most feared would be Michael...even more so than Sonny. Don ran his family like an empire.....Michael ran it like an Army. Everyone was happy with Don Vito in charge, his reputation was that of respect.....Michael's rep was that of fear......once you are not afraid of someone or something, there is nothing left.......it is like when I was growing up.....My father chose to have us fear him, and my grandfather chose to have us respect him......when I was old enough to stand up to my father, and I didn't fear him anymore....there was nothing left for us. But when my grandfather was in the old folks home, in a wheel chair, not even remembering my name.....I came by to see him 3 or 4 times a week......out of respect. That is why Don Vito was the best.

Those factors doesn't make him a good don, at least no where near what Vito was. Ok, Fredo was a traitor. (Though I don't agree with killing Fredo.) Carlo had Sonny (MIKE'S BROTHER in case you forgot) killed. Tessio was going to have Mike killed. Umm, he was doing his job as Don. He had all the traitors killed. BTW, Tessio only met Vito in his 20's. Not exactly childhood...
Hey, how's it going?

I think Vito was the best by far hands down because he was extremly smart, was empithetic to the loyal man, but could have a ferocity unmatched by anyone...I think he had the perfect characteristics to be a man in his postioin he knew how to play everything smoothly and always made poeple money and happy. Not to mention he built to Corleone Empire which I've heard was like the Roman Empire in it's Prime Joe Batters

Vito was the original. A great man. A man of reason and a warm hearted man. And he did well as Don.
But we all know that Vito could never dream of Michael's accomplishments. Not even DREAM. One word: Immobilliare - and everything that lead up to it. Along with a partnership with a government (cuban). Etc.

Vito is the best Don, because he was not an experienced one. Wish I hadn't him as my godfather, although my godfather is a brilliant one...
