Pherdy - yes, that's what I had in mind.
Plawrence - nope. Mi dispiace, but you're wrong. My question is still unanswered...

Pherdy - I don't think that anyone in particular was asked to "hail mary". Didn't Connie say "could someone please hail mary?" In GF3?

I could be completely wrong here, but I seem to remember a scene in Sicily where either Calo or Fabrizzio took off their shirt and lay in the sun when they and Michael stopped for lunch on the hike when Michael saw Appolonia for the first time.

What question(s) are on the Board? I can't tell.
"The Godfather was a man to whom everybody came for help and never were they disappointed. He made no empty promises, nor the craven excuse that his hands were tied by more powerful forces in the world than himself. It was not necessary that he be your friend, it was not even important that you had no means with which to repay him. Only one thing was required. That you, yourself, proclaim your friendship. And then, no matter how poor or powerless the supplicant, the Godfather would take that person's troubles to his heart. He would let nothing stand in the way to a solution of that person's woe. His reward? Friendship, the respectful title 'Don' and sometimes the more affectionate salutation of 'Godfather.' Perhaps, to show respect only, never for profit, some humble gift - a gallon or homemade wine or a basket of fresh baked goods on a holiday. It was understood to proclaim that you were in his debt and that he had the right to call upon you at any time to redeem the debt by some small service." -- Mario Puzo, The Godfather (1969).

Michael Corleone
He was ecstatic after the Bruno Tattaglia hit. Nothing would sway him.

I think Pentangelli was the guy with the love of history. Also, we're still waiting for the correct answer to the "suntan" question

CrazyMan : it was Sonny.
He was accosted in the shower and wound up taking a bath.

Was it Pentangelli? I thought it was Mike at the end of GF 2 where he explained about what history has taught them, but I could be wrong...
He was accosted in the shower? I'm gonna try Carlo, he was in the shower when Connie went after him, then died in the bloodbath that was the death of the five families...
If I'm wrong, then I gotta reread the book, and watch the trilogy again.

No, you're right, CrazyMan. The "bath" I was thinking about was when Sonny kicked the crap out of Carlo for hitting Connie and he wound up on his back in the gutter with the fire hydrant pouring water over him. A lovely image. Heh heh.
Next : They were made an offer they couldn't refuse. (Naturally, there's more than one recipient involved. For extra bonus points, name them in chronological order.)

A: Battista, I believe. If correct: Q: Vito ordered, through Tom, that he negotiate the patriation of Enzo through Washington?
