That's it. No more draws for me. I'm choosing winners and losers from now on.

I'm tied for 2nd?!

Who're Suz & Adak1 ?

I didn't pick *any* draws. Only wusses end a game in a draw. :p

We won't have to worry about that, I don't think. :p But, I'm leaning towards CA or CAP...

I studied Italian for 2 semesters. Not once was a "C" pronounced as a "G", and never was a trailing "I" ignored! And I'm from Jersey! tongue lol

I know. It will, without a doubt, haunt me for years should I not win this game.

Good luck to the Yanks against the Czechs, by the way.

Fucking peanuts! I seriously am going to cut somebody's penis off if given the chance. When I've been changing my predictions, I haven't been pressing "Sumbit". That's just fucking great, isn't it?

Thanks for posting the standings.

FYI - Team identifiers on the GBB is generally limited to team names/initials. (i.e. you should probably edit out people's names from your list above).

Are a lot of people predicting draws as i think there has only been 1 at the moment, most of the matches have been predictable except for the poland v Ecudor game i would have thought that the english based members would be doing better

I love it how my bodily functions are at the mercy of football matches; I wet myself when Saudi Arabia went ahead tonight, but shit myself when Tunisia equalised. Good finish to a good game, but I had the Saudis to win. Glad I made a last minute decision to have Spain beat Ukraine.

I also love how Turi, Senza Mama and I are the bottom three.

As I said before, there should be no ties!! WTF? Do they even attempt a tie-breaker after regulation??

In the league, yes, ties are allowed. Teams get one point for a draw, three for a win. But once you get to the knockout stages, there has to be a winner. Golden Goal (next goal wins) is played for thirty minutes, then it's onto a penalty shootout after that.

I guess that's one of the reasons football will never truly take off in the US. In football there's so much diversity to the talent of teams, for example, Togo are for the first time EVER in the world cup this year. For them to even get a draw and a point will be quite an achievment for them if they do it. Quite a contrast to most US sports where they're based on the same teams, salary caps and drafts etc. Because of that balance most teams can remain competitive or at least winning comes in cycles. Some countries and teams will never be able to be competitive on the world scale and have to base success on something other than winning it all. And of course, draws on the road (not applicable in this game really) against good and better teams are often good results. Those points add up.

Am I ranting like Plaw here? No he'd go on quite a bit longer.

I can't fucking believe how shitty this world is. The site was down long enough for me to have Serbia and Montenegro as my default pick against Argentina. Hoo-fucking-ray for bastardness. Another loss which shouldn't be a loss for me.

Now I'm beginning to sound like Plaw.

Haha, I see; I'm new to these fantasy games, though rumours and digs leaking into the General Discussion make two things apparent: that Plawrence is a relentless whiner, and you're an unflinching douchebag. :p

I can't wait to see all of your shocked faces when I win this game.
