ESPN College Bowl Mania http://games.espn.go.com/bowlmania/frontpage Group: Gangster BB Passw: Corleone You can create 1, 2 or 3 entries. However, please designate one of them with an asterisk (*) or "1" to indicate which ONE entry will be your official entry in the BB competition. (The more entries you have, the better your chances to win the $3000 Bose home theater system (if you're in the U.S.)). How To Play - Pick the winner (and assign a confidence value) of each game and predict the final team scores of the National Championship Game. Make your picks starting December 6th. Submit your entry no later than the first kickoff of the first game of the college football bowl season (Tuesday, December 20, 2005 at 8:00 pm ET). The first 7 games will lock at gametime. All remaining bowl selections will lock on December 27th, 2005 at 5:00 pm.

I'm not gonna make a big deal out of this, but the more entries each of us have, the greater the luck factor.
What we did in the past (I think in the March Madness Tournament game, or was it in this game?) was to create the maximum number of allowable entries so that we each had the greatest chance of winning a prize, but didn't we each designate only one of our entries to be the one that "counted" for our game?

So what are we doing, commish?
Having everyone designate one entry as the one that counts, or making it a free for all?
That effects "picking strategy", you know.
If all the entries count for our game, I probably won't make too many changes from one to the other. I'll just go with what I think my strngest 20 games or so on all three entries and tweak the low confidence games a bit.
But if only one entry counts, I'll take my best shot with that one, and maybe get a little bit outlandish in one, hoping for a few major upsets and increasing my chances to win a real prize.

EVERYONE WHO HAS MORE THAN ONE ENTRY, PLEASE ADD AN ASTERISK (*) OR A "1" TO THE END OF YOUR TEAM NAME, TO DESIGNATE THAT TEAM AS YOUR 'OFFICIAL' ENTRY IN THE BB COMPETITION.
You do that by clicking on the "Edit Entry Settings" link of the team in question.
Those failing to do so before the game starts will have their 'official' entries picked by the Commish.

Everyone's is clear so far, except for JB's. The first on his list is "Fighting Sioux", so we'll go with that unless he indicates a different one before the first game. Reminder: First game is this Tuesday (12/20) at 8:00 pm ET. All picks for games after 12/26 lock Wed December 27th at 5:00 pm. P.S. What a time-consuming pain the ass this was. But it'll be worth it when I win.

I don't know if it was just me or not, but, please check your picks -- cuz my picks for my main entry tonight showed up as half un-picked, and, previous picked were opposite of my actual picks! (good thing I printed them out!)
