Just an observation, but has anyone noticed that in the posted pictures as well as in real life, back in that era, no one seems to smile for pictures. In the family pic of Vito, even the children aren't smiling.
I noticed too, on my recent visit to Ellis Island, they had pictures of immigrants and no one is smiling. I think perhaps at that time maybe they were told not to????
