Welcome to the 2005-2006 Gangster BB Yahoo Fantasy Football League! The live draft will be on Wednesday, August 31, 2005 at 7 PM Eastern time.

As we've discussed, this league will be a hybrid head-to-head/points-system league. Weeks 1 - 13 will be the regular season for Head-to-Head and Points-based. After Week 13, a points-based champion will be crowned and will get a "Top of the Gangster BB Sports Page" designation (if it's OK with JG, that is). Weeks 14, 15 and 16 will be the playoffs for the top 6 finishers of the Head-to-Head regular season and a champion will be crowned at the end of Week 16.

It is on Yahoo, so you have to get a Yahoo ID and password before joining.

To get to the league, click on:
Yahoo Fantasy Football

Go to "Join a Custom League".

League ID #: REGISTRATION CLOSED
League Password:

The league will have 14 spots - first come, first serve. Anybody can join.

If you got any questions, post or PM me.

I'm in.

But I thought we were gonna have 14 teams and a 13 week balanced schedule

If there are 15 teams and everyone plays everyone else once, then one team will have a bye every week, and it will take 15 weeks to complete the regular season schedule, which moves the playoffs back to weeks 16 & 17.

DB.....I noticed that you changed the playoffs from four teams to six. How is that gonna work?

Nos. 3, 4, 5, and 6 play a wild card game in week 14 with the top two teams getting a bye, then four teams left for week 15, and the championship game week 16?

Also, I don't see your team in there DM.....

Sounds good.

The more teams in the playoffs, the less of a chance of one of the really high scoring teams getting screwed, too.

just so I'm clear here, week 17 isn't played because so many stars sit out? or is there another reason?

That's right DMC - results from Week 17 aren't generally used fantasy-wise because many stars sit out that week preparing for the playoffs.

Great! We have the original Thelma and Louise playing in the game.

And we got DMC in the game too.

Plaw can say all he wants, but I'm the real "Chick Recruiter". :p

We have three people who say they're in (DMC, Iceman, and JB), two unidentified teams (Najeh Crappenport and Stormriders), and two unidentified owners (csaflag1861 and john_paxson25).

That's what happens to me. My work has all these kinds of sites blocked on our computers. I just hope my home computer doesn't decide to act up come draft day.

I bet you can't guess which yahoo id is mine. I'll give you a hint, I'm a Bulls fan from the North whose mom and sister are actually two different people.

I'm just kidding Iceman. I just thought your id would have been Val_Kilmer4Life.
