If God or FFC gave you the permission to make any changes to any of the films what would they be? Use a better type of blood to pop out of Moe Green's eye? Hire Angelina Jolie for the role of Mary? Have Michael live at the end of GF3? What would have happened if Sonny would have lived? Let's hear your great ideas!!!

Have Michael live. Give the part of Mary to Martina McBride. And erase B.J. Harrison from existence.

GFIII had a very great plotline I think. Involving the deaths of the Pope and "Gods Banker", that really happened in real life. However, I think that FFC cut out so much of the movie to shorten it, the storyline just didnt come together in the end. I still cant fully understand the GFIII storyline no matter how much I study it. Thats how I feel...

Cicci, I believe Meyer Lansky, the Jewish mobster who Hyman Roth was based on, lived in a middle class home. That is why Roth didnt live in a huge compound like Michael, the real life person he was based on lived in a just a reasonble home.

let me say first off that there is nothing wrong with the music or wife beating scene in the godfather, especially the beating scene. it's essential and shows how low the corleone front has gotten. but if i could change anything it would be have robert duvall in gf3. oh by the way de niro is good in part 2 but no one can beat marlon brando in part 1. sorry but true. i would change sophia coppola and maybe have mira sorvino as mary. as long as she kept her hair black. i would like to have had part one stretched out a little longer.

As someone stated above: Keep Clemenza in II and Tom in III. Pt. I - Insert into the storyline - Bocciccio Clan, Depth of story regarding Lucy/Sonny and Back story of Filomena and Luca. (Sure, it'll make the movie about an hour longer, but what the hell--I wouldnt mind) Pt. 2 - Have Clemenza with the family, only not in the role of Pentangeli -- Have Michael kill Fredo himself, not just giving the order. Pt 3. - Although I think pt. 3 was just "OK", I think removing part three all together would be better. Compared to the way they made part 3, I would rather use my own imagination to find out what happened after part 2.

First of all, someone said that GFIII was great because it drew on real events - all the GFs drew on real events. The whole story line from I to III uses real Mafiosa events to frame the fictional Corleone story. Second, as far as story/film changes: 1. Get rid of Sophia Coppola, God bless her, her wine is good, but she cannot act. 2. Either explain the Pantangeli succession better or get rid of that story line and insert a Clemenza plot line. 3. Make Mike less "soft". The Mike from GFII would never have reconciled with Kaye - unbeleivable! 4. Show the Fabrizzio execution - we all felt better with that closure. Maybe have GFIII show some flashbacks (as in GFII) of Vito's rise during the 1930s and then just before Connie's wedding. Perhaps have it mirror the plot in GFIII.

Agreed.
Best thing to Do?
ELIMINATE THE ENTIRE GF PART III SCRIPT AND MAKE A NEW ONE!
Switch to a different Studio. Paramount was to much on FFC's ass.
Too bad they own the Rights.
I saw NOTHING, I MEAN NOTHING wrong with the Other Two Movies. Exept for Moe Green's eye. And Add ALL THE DELETED SCENES TO THE MOVIES! Exept for the ALternate end Of GFI with Kay going to pray for Michale.
I Cant live without that "No" to close the Godfahter.
