I'm pissed. I think Angle did a better job at adjusting to ECW than the Big Show did

Update on Chris Masters

From WrestlingNewsWorld.com

Quote:
Chris Masters has been off WWE TV for several weeks as a result of a failed "Wellness" drug test. It was reported that Masters tested positive for muscle-enhancing drugs, rumored to be anabolic steroids. Last night, Masters made his return to the ring at a TV taping for OVW. After sitting out his suspension and getting off the performance enhancing drugs, Masters' appearance has changed drastically - to the point where it would be impossible to keep his "Masterpiece" gimmick.

I also read/heard that he went into rehab for drugs also, but yeah, he for sure took roids. No 23 year old is gonna be that big by just working out.

From WWE.com:

“My body is so beat up and run down, I can’t even think straight,” Kurt Angle tells WWE.com in an exclusive interview Saturday concerning his early release from his contract with World Wrestling Entertainment. Angle and WWE officials mutually agreed to end Angle’s relationship with the company on Friday.

Angle says seven years of non-stop wrestling has taken a major toll on his body, his mind and his family. “I need my body to reheal and rehab, I have done this for too long without a break. I haven’t been able to really enjoy my life. I haven’t seen my family, I’ve had problems with medication - I’m just fried physically and mentally.”

Angle’s business manager David Hawk claims, “Kurt’s in a tremendous amount of pain, he’s used prescription medication to deal with it. Kurt has come to the conclusion that unless he can get in the ring without the use of pain medication then he doesn’t need to be in there. He realizes he was just endangering himself and his opponents.”

The last straw for Angle seems to have occurred on August 13th, 2006, at an ECW live event in White Plains, New York. Angle was wrestling Rob Van Dam in a match where both competitors were fueled by the passionate ECW fans. “The crowd was wild,” Angle says. “Early on in the match, I pulled my groin, but I kept going, feeding off the crowd. Then I pulled my abdominal muscle off the pelvic bone, but I kept going as the crowd grew more wild. Finally, I blew out my hamstring, but we finished the match. The crowd stood and applauded - a standing ovation and that meant so much to me.”

Ironically that would be Angle’s last match.

WWE.com asked Angle if he would ever return to competition in WWE. Angle says “I can’t tell you that right now, I need to heal up mentally and physically. Until then, I can’t even think about returning.”

But Angle says WWE Chairman Vince McMahon told him the door is always open. “Vince says when I’m ready, if I’m ever ready, to come back just sign on the dotted line. I’ll tell you if I do return I’m going back to my roots, training on the mat like my amateur days. Longevity is the key.”

Hawk seems confident Angle will be in the ring again someday.

Angle has a final message to his legion of WWE and ECW fans. “Don’t be concerned, this move was for the best. It was a privilege to be able to compete for all of you. I’d like to say thank you.”

------------------------

Hope the Angle Slam returns when his mind and body is all rested....

I'm glad I got to see him compete one last time at the ECW event I attended...eventhough he was only out there for about a minute. (peep the pictures on the previous page if you didn't see them.)

Angle's one of my favorite wrestlers. I'm sad to see him go...but he needs to take care of himself and his family first. I respect him for that.

Hope to see him back soon.

The only redeeming aspect of tonight's RAW was the Jeff Hardy/Randy Orton match.

Other than that...I give tonight's RAW a big fat

I admit too that the Hardy/Orton match was pretty good. Hell, glad to see Jeff Hardy, back from his long drug hiding, making pop with the crowds.

Besides, it further throws lighter fluid at the Orton/Carlito feud(which really has turned Carlito better in terms of match-quality and persona/mic skills)

At least they are trying to revive the RAW tag division. And Super Crazy coming to raw sucks, I wanted him on ECW, so I could hear Joey Styles say "Ay, dios mio" again.

Well, this was a good raw, better then the last couple weeks. And at the end Orton doing the "you cant see me" to the ref, was classic.

Yeah that was great. I'm looking forward to seeing them on Raw. The Highlanders haven't impressed me one bit since coming to the WWE. The Raw tag team division SUCKS and Smackdown's is slowly getting better

If they start a CM Punk and Moore feud, I swear Im gonna cry.I can see it now, them doing it because Moore was the "Prince of Punk" in tna and he said that yesterday. CM is soooooooooo much better, he should be in the main event picture, he's got the talent and he's so over it's not even funny.

I don't know why CM Punk is so over? I've only seen him wrestle 3 or 4 times and he hasn't really impressed me that much. The tag match with RVD, Sabu, Knox and Test was great. As was the main event, obviously, but I missed the end of the show because my TiVo stopped recording!

He's over because the fans knew of him from his ROH days when he was a great worker and he still is one.

Trust me Irish, by the end of 2006, you'll dig Punk as well.

Anyway, "Ap_capone" is right. Hell, remember the massive crowd pop that C.M. Punk got from that pro-ECW crowd weeks ago?

Then compare that reaction to the already legendary "Change the Channel!" chant during the Batista/Big Show title match.

MMA stands for "mixed martial arts."

He'll probably be competing in either the UFC or PRIDE Fighting.

RUMOR! POSSIBLE SPOILER!

This is just a RUMOR that I heard but from what I was told yesterday WWE is going to bring back the nWo one more time. They're doing this because they want the DX angle to continue for at least another year and can't keep doing DX vs the Spirit Squad or DX vs the McMahons. The nWo would be made up of Edge, Scott Hall and Kevin Nash. DX would feature Shawn Michaels, HHH and John Cena

They'd want it to go on for at least a year. I'm sure they're making TONS of money off of merchandise, etc and I'm sure they wish they could keep it going for 2 years. But I agree, you can only do DX vs the Spirit Squad and DX vs the McMahons for only so long
