Cool, WWE signed Jeff Hardy again. Maybe a tag with Matt is in the works?

BREAKING NEWS: Jeff Hardy re-signs with the WWE

From WWE.com

Quote:
After spending three years combating his personal demons, a refocused and rehabilitated Jeff Hardy is prepared to return to the place where he began his career as a teenager.

WWE.com has learned that WWE officials have rehired former Superstar Jeff Hardy, more than three years after his release from the company.

For this unique athlete, it has been a turbulent, arduous road back to WWE. In 2003, just as Hardy began to make his ascent to the top of World Wrestling Entertainment, he came crashing down, reportedly because of a drug dependency.

After showing up late for several WWE events and demonstrating a deterioration in his in-ring performance, Hardy’s last match in WWE was on March 24, 2003. In May of that year, after refusing to go into drug rehabilitation, Hardy was subsequently released from WWE.

In 1993, at the age of 16, Jeff and his brother Matt, 19, started working for WWE, wrestling against contracted WWE Superstars. It wasn't until 1998 that the brothers were given full-time WWE deals. That year, the Hardy Boyz almost instantly became top-tier contenders in WWE's tag team division.

Both talented risk-takers with dynamic in-ring chemistry, the Hardyz revolutionized sports-entertainment, employing wild aerial maneuvers that did damage to both their opponents and themselves. Capturing both the WWE and WCW Tag Team Championships, the Hardyz made their strongest impact in their epic Tables, Ladders and Chairs Matches with the Dudley Boyz and Edge and Christian.

Shortly after the WWE brand extension in 2002, Matt and Jeff were split apart and Jeff found success as a singles star on RAW. After the split, Hardy began to display his most unorthodox side, adding uniquely colored body paint to his ever-changing hair color.

Perhaps the highlight of his singles career was his Ladder Match with Undertaker for the WWE Championship in July 2002. In a match that no one believed Hardy could win, Jeff brought his abilities to a higher level unlike anyone had ever seen in him before. That night, Jeff did not walk out as WWE Champion, but he earned the respect of not only The Phenom, but of all who watched the contest. People started to acknowledge Hardy’s true talent – a talent that was curtailed and snuffed out due to his addiction.

Holding a number of championships, Hardy was en route to reaching the summit of his sports-entertainment career until it all came to an abrupt end due to his erratic behavior and drug use.

Overcoming addiction is arguably the greatest victory of Hardy’s life. And as a renewed Jeff Hardy prepares to reintroduce himself to WWE fans, one can only expect Hardy to earn his greatest career victories and even larger triumphs when he makes his long-awaited return home.

Well, the RVD/Sabu ladder match itself was pretty good last night on ECW, save for the ending, which was weak. The problem with the result is that for SummerSlam, I just don't see how the WWE can make anyone believe seriously that Sabu has an actual chance of beating the Big Show.

Too bad Angle got left out of the match due to his recent injury at a House Show.

Speaking of which, who saw Hogan and Orton on RAW? I tell yeah, Hogan with the screwed-up leg, that match on Summerslam will be a disaster. Worse, Orton still has no pop with the crowd.

Well, Sabu is known for being a crazymotherfucker back in the original Philadelphia days of ECW, so I could see it.

I mean, realistically, I don't think anybody probably could beat him, but we're talking wrestling, not reality. :p

DJ, I'm talking about in terms of being a wrestling Booker, and how that in this new WWE/ECW marriage(where ECW plays the wife-dominated, feminized man of the household), I just don't see the WWE giving Heyman any clearance to give Sabu the title.

Besides, Big Show will be put over Sabu, with either Angle or RVD being the next-in-line contender for the title. Considering Angle's injury, my money is on RVD on a streak to get his title back after his pot suspension.

C.M. PUNK actually did good in his match, but isn't it sad now that Justin Credible is the jobber for these 5 minute matches now? Almost as humiliating as the WWE Mark fanbase repeating "Boring!" to the really damn good Lance Storm's matches.

What was the purpose of the Big Show coming out and stopping the match? And why did he seem to get mad when Sabu grabbed the contract?

OMG Irish, you actually followed that stupid shit?

Well, at least you admit it.

Anyone noticed that would-be Summerslam match was demoted to tonight's Smackdown?

Anyway, the DX angle is dead after Summerslam, since Michaels is taking 3-4 months off for leg surgery. Then supposedly, if the Observer newsletter is indeed correct, then the next big angle will be Triple H against Randy Orton(which still plays into my belief that Orton will be put over Hogan at Summerslam).

I went to an ECW house show this past Monday in Salisbury, Maryland. I was really looking forward to it...as I'd never been to an ECW show...but if I'm to compare it to classic ECW standards...the show was a let down. All the matches were standard rules...save the main event...Sabu vs. Big Show for the ECW Title. That match alone was worth the price of admission. The Big Show is an absolute freak of nature. Seeing him on television doesn't do his size ANY justice. The man is fucking HUGE!

That's not to say I didn't have a great time. These live events are always fun...the energy was great...and house shows are definitely better than television tapings because the Superstars will interact with the fans in ways they can't do on television.

The biggest disappointment was the absense of Paul Heyman. I was looking forward to seeing him. Also...Kurt Angle had a match that lasted every bit of 20 seconds...but it was still cool seeing him again.

The best match of the night was RVD vs. that vampire dude. RVD is just incredible...and seeing him live is like watching a magician in the ring. He's not as technically sound as a Kurt Angle or Dean Malenko...but he makes up for it in sheer athletic and acrobatic skills.

Sandman came out through the crowd...as he does on TV...which was cool.

I'll post some pics from the event later!

I took a ton of photos...here are some of the better ones I got:

My mistake, Ronnie. I meant to edit that post to "Will post photos shortly."

Not all of the photos came out great...my digital camera isn't great when it comes to capturing high speed. Here are the ones that came out the best:

Here's Sandman during his entrance through the crowd:

Rob Van Dam playing to the crowd:

A little bit of "Rolling Thunder"

And a "Five Star Frog Splash!"

Here are a few more:

Kurt Angle getting ready to go:

30 seconds later

Sabu and Big Show about to square off:

Big Show after being put through a table by Sabu

Big Show retaliates with a chokeslam:

That Sabu is a trooper!

Damn Kurt Angle is no longer part of WWE. This seriously sucks, he was the best wrestler in the company in my opinion.
