I'm a little bleary-eyed after staying up to watch that Game 5 last night. Finally, a close game after the first 4 games had an average margin of victory of 21 points.

Horry was wide open, but Ginobli made a great pass getting Horry the ball. Horry was nails last night. Gonna be tough for Detroit to win 2 on the road, but if anyone can, it's the defending champs.

I don't remember whether it was Billups or Hamilton taking Detroit's last shot, but whoever it was clearly should have been called for an offensive foul. They laid in elbow right to Parker's face and nothing was called.

Based upon his horrific postseason FT shooting, I'd be putting Duncan on the charity stripe a lot in Game 6 if I was Larry Brown.

Big Shot Rob for the Hall of Fame! The guy has been one of my favorite players since his Houston days. He was known more for his blocking and dunking back then, but it must be awesome to go down as one of the most clutch basketball players of all time.

hell yeah! Hamilton and Billups were awesome, plus the Spurs shot poorly from 3 point range and in the foul line (29% and 61%). LET'S GO PISTONS!

It's a game 7.......1 game left.....for all the marbles....this is it end of the season, win or go home....and sadly it's still a very boring series.

Also is it just me or do the conference semi-finals seemed like they happened in another lifetime?

DMC-sad but true... I totally agree with you. but I was thinking that it was only me because the fuckin' games aren't on TV here, but if you feel it too... it's amazing, we just had an exciting game 6 decided in a clutch shot that will become history, but I really don't feel like anything really big is happening. and hell, I AM A PISTONS FAN! I just don't understand..

I can honestly say I find the GAMES exciting, but to me it doesn't seem like a "series" and definitly not the Championship series. It could just be me.

To me, only the 5th & 6th games have been exciting. The others were rather dull & quite lobsided.

History ain't on the Pistons side. The home team is 12-3 in Game 7's. SA is 38-3 at home this year and has not lost 2 games in a row at home. What I was surprised to learn is that this is the first Finals Game 7 since 94: Knicks-Rockets.

Hopefully it will be a good, close game. I doubt SA will shoot as poorly as they did in Game 6. I picked SA to win and will stick with them, but really don't have a rooting interest in either team. At least the Larry Brown soap opera will be nearing its end after tonight.

It should be a good game and I might watch the entire thing. I've only been watching the 2nd half of all the other games but hopefully Detroit can pull it out. Sure history isn't on their side, but was history on the Red Cocks side last year? ANYTHING's possible, but I do agree that SA probably won't shoot as poorly as they did in game 6

That's what the new NBA Finals MVP trophy looks like? It looks like sh*t. What did they try to copy the World Cop trophy or what? The old one was MUCH better looking

i love darko's face in that picture of the pistons. everyone else is showing their disappointment over losing a hard fought series and he looks like he couldn't give a shit.

irishman, i'm assuming from this quote that you're at least a little bit of a pistons fan. isn't it frustrating how rasheed plays? he dominated in the fourth quarter from the block when he would post up duncan. his turnaround is almost unstoppable with his wingspan, but he only unleashes it when he absolutely has to. i'm a fan of neither team, and my heart was with the spurs in this series, but despite that, it was still frustrating for me to watch him become so passive when he could have dominated in stretches like he did for part of the 4th last night. if he can play like that against duncan, there's no excuse he shouldn't put 30 a game consistently during the regular season against other team's inferior power forwards. if only he would just be rasheed instead of raweed.

No I'm not really a Pistons fan, just in this and the Heat-Pistons series because I hate the Heat & Spurs more then the PIstons. Last year I was going for the Lakers in the Finals and was very upset when they lost to Detroit. As for Wallace, he got into foul trouble too early and couldn't help as much due to it. Also, Detroit couldn't score in the 4th or play defense on Manu "I'm the best flopper in the NBA" Ginobli

Yes the Spurs win their 3rd title in 7 years. Dynasty?

Anyway, Duncan, Parker, and Ginobili are signed to the team through 2010.

The rest of the NBA is saying "Uh Oh!"

It all depends upon how closely you interpret the word "dynasty." I'd have a more difficult time calling them a dynasty due to the fact that there was a four year span from their first championship (1999) to their second (2003). Certainly, they could rightly be considered to be called, along with the 2000-2002 Lakers, one of the best teams of the past 10 years.

Look at the Patriots in the NFL. You could argue their case as a dynasty much more because they've won 3 Super Bowls in the past 4 seasons.
