I should've known you were working on the financial end, with those considerable maths skills!! I know what you mean about frustration with the legislative process. I worked for my local economic development agency for many years, and dealt with more politicians than I care to remember. It is a grueling and excruciating process, and it is a wonder that ANYTHING ever gets done.

Glad to hear you're still hard at work with your student. My brother was a math major in college, but his masters degree was in reading disabilities. He's always stressed that reading is the key to all learning, as it impacts each and every subject matter. Imagine doing math word problems if you couldn't read?? Or studying for a history test??

Beth, Right up my alley, baby!! There was a great photo of ARod doing crunches in my local paper, and another of him and Mr. Jeter, but that one was in black and white. These photos are MUCH better!!
