Why cute Gangs of New York by 45 minutes? I think Martin Scorsese has proven himself with such films as Raging Bull, Goodfellas, and Casino. So why mess with success? The man knows what he's doing, so why not let him work & have the movie be 45 minutes longer. People maynot like the fact that a movie is long, but they'll see it anyways! (Godfather, Scarface, Saving Private Ryan, JFK, Schindler's List, Beautiful Mind, etc)
