Okay..I got the DVD thing and I wanted to know how to change the language subtitles to German or maybe Russian????..

I did that. I clicked subtitle but it only has French and English. and then I went to Set up and there was a code, and my grandparents wanted to see the movie in Russian so I put in 1821 and it still didn't work..and I have no idea...so I figuired that the DVD only works in English and French??????

if the DVD doesn't have Russian subtitles programmed into it, then I don't think that any code will make it magically appear.

i think you should try other dvd region that has the russian language or subtitle. .

That happened to you because your DVD is Zone 1, that belongs to USA and Canada. I don't know if there is already a Godfather DVD for Russian Zone.

There are no German or Russian subtitles and I'm not surprised. Very few R1 DVDs have those languages. I am surprised that there are no Italian subtitles though.

As I understand it the Reg 1 & Reg 4 copies only have English and French language options on them.
Thats why I ordered my Reg 2 from Italy as it had Italian as well.
If you want Russian you will probably need to order a copy from a Russisn DVD E-tailer.
