Sooo... who deserved the Oscar more in Pt. II, De Niro, or Pacino?...the guy who got the Oscar for 1974 was for some film that hardly anyone knows, it was some no name random guy (correct me if I'm wrong).

Neither actor is better than the other; in the GF films, or in any other aspect of their careers. And...neither deserved the Oscar more than the other, it's just that DeNiro won in his category and Pacino did not. I think everyone expected Pacino to win, but for some reason (go ask the Academy voters), the award went to Art Carney (not exactly a 'no name randum guy'), for Harry & Tonto. Sometimes, people will vote for a person to acknowledge their career & not just the role for which they were nominated. Mr. Carney was VERY GOOD in Harry & Tonto, and at the time he's the one who got the most Best Actor votes; it's just that that film itself is classic that GFII is; and therefore is not watched or remembered as much.
