I used to bowl in High School, but I never got my average above about 165 or so. My all-time high game is only 233.

Bowling was a sports staple in TV's early days. Cheap to produce I guess.

The old-timers here will remember guys like Ray Bluth, Don Carter, and Ed Lubanski.

The thing that always fascinated me about bowling was that there was no other professional sport in which, even on my best day, I could out-perform a pro.

But even with my crappy 165 average, let me bowl 100 games against the best bowler in the world, and I bet I'd beat him once or twice.
