Lots of discussion in the Niner community. Those who wanted Jeff's head on a platter for a losing season got their wish while others loyal to the team feel he was a scapegoat.

As a lifelong Niner fan, I personally feel it was time for him to go. I have been watching Tim Rattay since his college days at LA tech and I think he is fresh, raw talent. Niners also have a very capable backup in Dorsey.

My dream plan? For these two QB's to stay healthy all year, find a way to keep Owens (yep, I like him!) drop Zack Bronson and the NUMBER ONE priority - KEEPING JULIAN PETERSON - the Niners may not be Super Bowl bound for a while, but at least on the upswing.

Good luck to Garcia wherever he gets picked up (Baltimore? San Diego? no, NOT DETROIT like some people think! ). I am a Niner fan that can't forget what good he DID DO for the team. It's just time to move on.
