I hate what the Yankees have become but more importantly, what MLB has allowed them to become.

There is nothing more rich with tradition as the New York Yankees. Babe, Lou, Mickey, Joe. Dimaggio is an American icon. My dad and granddad were fans of his, and I love the guy too. Very interesting, his life and what he meant to people. Dimaggio might not have been the nicest guy, but he was respectable, something that is lacking these days, and always sacrificed his whole self, even when injured, for his teammates.

I am a baseball fan, and to not recognize the Yankees for what they are to baseball is a sin. The Yankees used to win because of scouting, management, a pride and a worthy, well-deserved arrogance. Now they win because the Boss puts more money on the table, no matter what.
