Hey Cubs Fans: I feel for you. I root for the Cleveland Indians and Florida tore my heart out in 1997. Sure the Cubs blew the NLCS, but the Indians were 2 outs away from winning the World Series when Florida came back. Granted, it was only 1 run to tie it & send it into extra innings, but it still stung.
Don't blame that fan from Tuesday night. That was an unusual circumstance & play, but the Cubs' play on the field caused the collapse in Game 6.
Anyways, I don't like any of the 3 teams remaining, so I don't plan on watching the Fall Classic.

SC, man, I gotta tell you - I'm actually shocked. I really thought you guys were gonna do it. Hey, that curse isn't MY fault... Your BoSox were incredibly tough competition. I actually thought you guys played better, and, I was willing to concede to being a Marlins fan for the rest of the month. BoSox have NOTHING to be ashamed about. Putting Wakefield in was a GREAT call. And Boone had been doing NOTHING all along. It's just that Yankee Magic... unbelievable... Regardless, the Marlins are freakin' tough, and I'm not expecting much. So don't feel bad. But how great -- Game 7 -- 9th inning -- walk-off homer? Shit, man... totally freakin' awesome! And saves some jobs... The Curse lives on, though... that's all I really care about...

Yanks were hittin' on Pedro, yeah - he shoulda been taken out way before even the 8th. Matsui. The BoSox pen was unhittable the entire series... but hey... Jeter. Bernie. MVP Rivera! Pussada. Not to mention Giambi. I swear, I was working on my concession speech before the 5th inning... still unbelievable... Hopefully we can make the AL proud next week...

SC, thank you for sticking up for your Red Sox, man! And J Geoff, you still showed a lot of class after your team won. I do believe the Red Sox played better, but having that come from a YANKEES FAN is something special.
I was flat out furious when I saw Boone smack that home run. The fact that Boston blew a 4-0 lead in Game 7 is just bullsh!t- and Pedro should have been taken out before the eigth inning, especially since they knew he was showing signs of fatigue. It seemed like hell was finally going to freeze over (Boston wins), and Clemens' last start would be a loss to his former team. All I can do now is go for the Marlins and hope that they truly become the surprise team of this short century.
Who knows how long it will be before the Red Sox ever get this close again? It's amazing how both the Cubs and the Red Sox continue to be deprived of championships when each of them have been so close so many times. Some call it a curse, some say it's pure coinsidence.

Thanks, Capo. As opposed to many others, I do realize it's just a game -- shit, it's BIG, but, it's still just a game. And sure, I wanna see MY team(s) win -- but I do notice when other teams perform better. The Yanks have SUCKED so far this post season, and I'm not all that confident in the Big Show. But hey, the Yanks have been Magical the past 8 years, so, I gotta root for them. They're my team. I did root for the Marlins in '97 -- I actually have a Marlins cap from then! But hey, not against N.Y.C.!! I applaud the BoSox, and all they've done. As much as I'm supposed to hate them -- I admit that I respect them. And, they probably should've won. (Don't repeat those words! )

I'm guessing you mean the CUBS and the Red Sox. Anyway, you are right. The curse is real, and I truly got a kick out of several sportscasters (Michael Kay being one of them) who have been known to pooh-pooh the curse thing, finally pondering that there may really be something to it... I REALLY appreciated the Fox sign-off. Closing shot was an old clip of the Babe...winking straight at the camera. And US!! AppleOnYa

As a side note, I would like to point out that the Marlins and the Redsox both losing in game seven of the championship series's proves that the curses are real. Especially in the case of the Red Sox. I guess some teams just cant win the big game. Marlins are FASTER than The Yanks... We'll get you Yanks! The South Shall Rise Again (Not that Type of South) But yes, Those Teams are Cursed.
