I really feel old when I read a post like that of fathersson's (above) referring to "a guy named Whitey Ford" and a "guy they called Earl the Pearl".....Man, these guys were heroes of my youth, and I just assume EVERYONE knows who they are, and how great they were.

FS, Whitey Ford was probably the best pitcher in the franchise's history, and Earl Monroe was one of the best (and flashiest) guards to ever play the game.
