Pretty much like clockwork each Monday morning once you got onto your computer.
Also don't forget 'view from behind'.
But I will say though that the end of this is not coming soon enough for me. It was fun for a while but way too long now and requires too much work. Think if you put 30 minutes a day into this - that is choosing a lineup and later watching games online to see how others are doing etc. So we play for 25 weeks, 7 days a week for a total of 175 days. With 30 minutes per day for 175 days that equals 87.5 hours or over 3.5 full days of our lives. For some like Satan who is cranking 2-3 hours per day - WOW?? No wonder no time for porn.
Yet with 4 days still some things to be had. 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th place are all up for grabs. FS has a chance to break in the 90% ranking. Matter of fact the only thing that is set is the DB will win the second half. And really does that matter?
Who won the first half anyway - was it Pork ?? I mean really does anyone even remember nor less care about who won the first half. Hell I started 10 days late - I might have been able to win that one.
So let's wrap this baseball thing up and welcome football and some hoops. Throw in some hockey and I'll be set.
So really, who won the 1st half ?

By the way- I am leading the single header divison! and win lose or draw, I stayed thru the whole half! I would love to see how many pages of statistics Pee-Lawrence has kept thru this whole time. and how much time do you think he REALLY put in to this game?

Top 5 Events to rock our league's world: 5- Pork unable to set his team in the thicke of the 2nd half race 4- Bad Daddy coming in 10 days late (have we finished hearing about this one yet?? :p ) 3- Asterisk scandal 2- Bethie disappearing (although she plays on! You would be in second place, right Bethie! ) 1- PL winning the 1st half by a large margin.

Can we get back to business here?
First of all, this game ain't over yet. Sure, it looks like DB has a strangle hold on first place for the second half, but if the Cubbies get rocked, and the Twins PS racks up 30 pts or so, and if I can cut DB's lead down to 80-90 or so going into the weekend, then sure, I'm not the favorite, but I certainly have maybe a 10 or 15-1 chance.
Second of all, in the event that there's a playoff game on Monday between the Cubs and Astros for the Division, will that game count in this game? Technically, it's part of the regular season.
Finally, will we keep this thread open right thru the off season? I know that I'll want to talk about old times...

Now, stop jinxing my PS by saying something like that. :p But, at least the Cubbies are getting rocked now

Pee-Larwence, Your doctor was here looking for you! He said you should not have left the hospital without the rest of your treatments and your meds! They are still wondering how you got out of your locked private room and your straight jacket. OH, and you have to go back to pick up your baseball cap and uniform along with 23 boxes of fantasy baseball statistics and you also can pick up your baseball and bat at the Security office. He said that you have to return the PJs the one with the bats and balls all over them. They were just a loaner and used to settle you down and have to go back to little Johnny on the third floor who was in to get his tonsils out. Good luck on your game plan and don't forget your fantasy Football picks for Sunday, we would hate for you to fall behind and have an excuse to be in the basement all season!

Allow me to explain my strategy for today (as if anyone besides DB and JG are interested):
No, I did not miss the doubleheader. But 80 points behind calls for radical measures.
I assumed (wrongly), that DB would take the Yanks PS. That means to make up any points there, I'd need to take Baltimore. Yeah, right. So instead I took a PS, Florida, playing a game at home that means something against a weak offense, the Mets. I was figuring that I could get maybe 30 points from my PS, and with the hope that the Yankees would only pitch Pettite for 5 innings, plus a rookie in the second game, plus their second line bullpen guys, plus a decent offensive day by Baltimore, maybe I'd pick up a few points on pitching.
Actually, the way it turned out, with DB taking Pedro in a meaningless game in which they're saying he may only pitch a few innings, I think I wound up better off in the pitching matchup than if DB had taken the Yanks.
Now the offense. I figured DB would load up on Yankees, which I felt would be the wrong move, since the games mean nothing to them, and who knows who would play both games? Logically, I could have loaded up on Baltimore offensive players, but I felt that strategy was too risky, cause if the Yanks PS had a good day, and DB had the Yanks, then I'd be buried if I didn't get a good offensive total from Baltimore players. Plus, again, who can figure who will play both games in a meaningless season end doubleheader?
So I decided to treat the day as if the DH didn't exist, and just try to pick as many players as I could who were involved in games that had some meaning for their team.

Hey guys, today is my 16 YEAR wedding anniversary! (Yep, I was a child bride marrying at 15 ) He bought me a huge flat screen computer monitor. The romance is still alive and well after all these years But he said it is so " I can see my baseball better" Awwww. Sweet. I DO believe he is coming around. Of course, I had tickets to a show I want to go to in December tucked under my pillow last night, so that was sweet too. This time of year, baseball season winds down and I always check to see if I am still married or if I have finally driven the whole family mad with my small obsession. Perhaps tonight, I don't turn on games OR Sportscenter? Think that is possible???? Tonight it probably IS possible. What, and watch you bunch of you scrubs rack up a ton of points? I already feel ill. What a way to wrap up my season
btw - Big Daddy....thanks for nothing. That was the classic "right back atcha" to me
I have a tendency to wear my heart on my sleeve - I have a history of taking off my shirt.....

Now my standings here certainly don't make me an expert but I am of the opinion that THE DOUCHEMAN IS GOING TO KICK YOUR ASS!! This is getting interesting - even from a spectator's position (where I am  ) Too bad I am going away for the weekend. I won't be able to see the result of this lovely day until it is all over, probably on Sunday or Monday....

We'll see just how crazy it is when the night is over.
Look, don't get me wrong here. I'm not thrilled with the way I played it. It could easilly backfire into a 70-80 point day for DB.
If I was mired in 6th place, with no where to go, I probably would have played it differently. I just felt that I had to do something totally radical, and hope for the best. My overall points lead is safe, and I really don't care if I finish the second half in second place or third.
I going for first, here.
