Strategy Explanation:

A doubleheader is different than a single game.

I figured if the St. Louis hitters did OK, I'd get a lot of offensive points, and still get enough pitching points because there were two games instead of one. Like maybe two 12 or 13 point games, for a total of 25 or 26 pitching points.

And if the St. Louis hitters did lousy, I'd pile up plenty of pitching points. And still, I'd have to get something on offense.

I also figured that JG and LD would take the Cubs PS, so no matter what happened, that would be a wash. So I just went with who I thought were the best offensive players.

And I certainly would have bet that Lofton wasn't gonna play both games. He's an old man.

Edit: Quit complaining. You got four ABs out of Lofton, and he may very well play the second game
